A Little About Me:

My name is Thomas Stefaniak, CAE and I have been an association professional for over six years. Currently, I am a product developer with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, a 127,000 member healthcare professional association based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this capacity, I develop and deploy Web 2.0 (podcasts, vodcasts, communities of practice websites, and wikis) technology in professional development initiatives. I get to work with an incredibly talented staff, volunteers and vendor community. I attained my CAE (Certified Association Executive) credential from the ASAE in January 2008.

Previously, I experimented with a career as a financial planner. Investing has been a hobby since I turned 18. I even had another blog, http://personalfinancefun.wordpress.com/ that had a pretty good following especially around my posts on the CNBC Squawk Box Challenge. I was also formerly a blogger with the Investor Geeks http://www.investorgeeks.com/articles/2006/09/12/protection-of-assets-and-long-term-care-insurance/. But, I really missed assocation work and interacting with volunteers so I jumped at the opportunity with the ASRT. Prior to that, I was a marketing manager for a worldwide not-for-profit association based in Milwaukee.
I have a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
I am married to my beautiful, wonderful and talented wife Jacqueline.
